It’s ok to CUT YOUR KNITTING! That’s right, sometimes you actually want to cut your knitting, otherwise known as steeking! In this two-part intermediate class we will cover:
March 18th: intro to two-color stranded knitting (Fair Isle) while working on a small project to be steeked;
April 1st: how to steek (cut) projects which have been knitted in the round.
This technique is most often used when knitting Fair Isle sweaters and other projects for which you want to preserve a distinct color pattern, or when it is quicker and easier to work the piece in the round and then cut the openings for neck, arms, etc. after the fact.
PLEASE NOTE: This is not a beginner class and will not be covered in any Quest Classes. You must be able to attend BOTH class sessions.
